When the Monklets are sleeping Dramamonkeys like to relax and have fun.
Post your favorite Monkey inspired drink. The best tasting drink gets a special blinky and all drinks will be added to a dramamonkey recipe blog. I will be trying all the drinks:)
Dramamonkey 3 loves to relax with a:
Spank the Monkey
3/4 oz 99 Bananas® banana schnapps
3/4 oz Smirnoff® Vanilla Twist vodka
1/2 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
In a double shot glass, add .75oz of 99 Bananas with .75oz of Smirnoff Vanilla then SPANK the monkey with .5oz of Bacardi. If the glass is clear the drink will actually look " banana yellow".

mmm husband loves a dirty banana but I've never made him one so I have no idea what's in them!

Bikini Monkey Mama Martini
ReplyDelete1 oz coconut rum
3/4 oz vodka
1 oz pineapple juice
1 dash grenadine syrup
Combine rum, vodka and pineapple juice in a drink shaker with ice. Shake firmly until frothy. Pour in a martini glass, add a touch of grenadine in the middle. Garnish with an orange slice.
DramaMamarita - this is time consuming but so worth the effort. This is a great drink to serve if you have guests that like virgin drinks too.
INGREDIENTS:
Fresh kiwi, mango, and strawberry (Peel the kiwi and mango, and cut into slices, each weighing approximately 10-11 oz. each)
Granulated sugar
Three to four lemons, limes and oranges
Cuervo Gold Tequila
Dekuyper Cactus Juice Schnapps (chilled)
Simple Syrup:
Mix 1 ¼ lb. sugar with 16 oz. of warm water until dissolved. Refrigerate half of mix.
Margarita Mix:
Squeeze juice from halves of lime, orange, and lemon into a quart container and add remaining half of the simple syrup to the fruit juice. Then refrigerate the mix. These two mixes will last for 24 hours.
Fruit Ices:
Blend each fruit, ice, and two ounces of simple syrup separately until thick. Store separately in bowls. These three mixes will last for 2-3 hours.
READY TO SERVE:
Blend Margarita mix, tequila, and ice until thick.
Add two teaspoons of each ice in the bottom of your chilled Martini glass.
Top with the thick Margarita Mix, and it pour over the drink.
Mix a shot of Cactus Juice into the drink.
Place lime and orange wedge on the rim to serve.

1 shot banana liqueur
2 shots creme de cacao
2 scoops chocolate ice cream
1 oz chocolate syrup
4 oz chocolate milk
1 1/2 oz whipped cream
1 cherry
1 piece bananas
Blend liqueurs with ice-cream, milk and syrup. Pour into a parfait glass, top with whipped cream and garnish with banana and cherry.
Serve in: Parfait Glass
Drunken Monkey

1 oz banana liqueur
1 oz melon liqueur
1 1/2 oz cranberry juice
1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
Pour the triple sec, banana liqueur and melon liqueur into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Fill with equal parts of cranberry and pineapple juice. Stir well, and serve.
I've never had it but I might try it this weekend, lol.
